Everyone should know what Beeminds does and especially: how smart we do it. My job is to tell that story. As Head of Marketing I make sure we are visible, with content that appeals and inspires. Think blogs, customer stories and social media. No two days are the same and that’s what makes my job so much fun.
The day begins early and organized
At 6:30 a.m., the alarm clock rings. After a quick shower and getting dressed, I enjoy my breakfast: overnight oats with apple and cinnamon, while reading the newspaper. At 7:30 a.m. I get in the car towards the office in Naarden. BNR Nieuwsradio on and I’m immediately up to speed.
Hugs, coffee and content
Around 8:15 a.m. I arrive at the office. First a cup of coffee and of course a cuddle with our office dog Toulouse. Then I start editing a blog written by colleague Richard about Microsoft Fabric. Although I’m not an IT professional myself, thanks to the understandable technology I know exactly what it’s about. Glad we can make complex things so accessible.
Connecting with the team and the client
At 9 a.m. it’s time for the daily stand-up with the whole team. I enjoy being there. I hear what’s going on, get new ideas and stay well connected. Then, together with colleague Laurens, I drive to The Hague, where we visit UNICEF Netherlands. They use our solution, the Intelligentive®, to organize their data smartly. We interview them and I develop this into an inspiring customer case for the website.

Combining creativity and impact
After lunch, I immediately work on this cool client case and send it to UNICEF Netherlands for approval. The rest of the afternoon I spend on social media. First Toulouse gets to shine on Instagram (always a success). Then I get to work on content posts about our technology and its applications.
From podcast to water polo
Around 5 p.m., I drive home. This time I listen to an episode of the podcast Napleiten. I’ve listened to so many that sometimes I think I’m a lawyer myself by now. At home, my husband has already cooked dinner and a delicious pasta awaits. After dinner I cycle to water polo practice. Great to end the day with my team in a sporty way.
End of the day
Once home, around 10 p.m., I drink another cup of tea and eat a bowl of cottage cheese! Around 11 p.m. I go to bed, wondering what tomorrow’s day will bring again.
What makes my workday successful?
When I manage to strike the right chord with a blog or customer story. When I see that our content inspires people, makes them curious or even spurs them into action.
