Workshop Chat with Your Data in a day

What if you no longer had to search for reports, dashboards or Excel files, but simply asked a question? And get an immediate answer, based on your own data?

During this workshop by Beeminds in cooperation with Microsoft, we will show you how to do that. No demo stuck in theory, but a practical day where you get to work yourself.

Location: online
Duration: 1 day
Host: Célina Morad
Price: free of charge
Dates: July 2 (English-language) and July 22 (Dutch-language)

What you will do

In one day, you’ll experience how AI looks at data and learn how to help Copilot provide better answers. With hands-on exercises, you will discover what role semantic models, context and definitions play in a successful Chat with your Data approach.

We focus on three components:

  • Understanding why AI sometimes gives wrong answers
You experience firsthand how Copilot works on semantic models and what problems arise from unclear definitions, poor modeling or missing context.
  • Preparing Data for Copilot and AI Agents
You will learn how to deploy semantic models, AI instructions, verified answers and data agents to make AI more reliable and consistent.
  • Working with the latest AI capabilities in Microsoft Fabric
You’ll discover how Standalone Copilot and Fabric Data Agents give users faster access to insights through natural language.

What the day looks like

We will start with an introduction to Chat with your Data within Microsoft Fabric and discover why AI sometimes gives surprisingly good answers and sometimes not. You will then get to work yourself with hands-on exercises and experience how semantic models, definitions and context affect the quality of AI answers.

Step by step, you’ll discover how to prepare data for Copilot and AI agents.

Furthermore, you will learn:

  • How to reach insights faster without relying on reports
  • How to iteratively test and adjust until the answers are right
  • How to bring context and frameworks to Copilot so that the output is usable
  • How a good semantic model improves the quality of AI answers
  • What best practices are important for AI-ready data
  • How to check and validate AI answers before using them
  • How Fabric Data Agents work and when to deploy them
  • How to apply Chat with your Data within your organization
  • How to improve your data model and governance through a solid data foundation such as the Intelligenthive®

For whom this is of interest

Many organizations expect Copilot to provide good answers immediately once a semantic model is available. In practice, we find that the quality of the answers depends heavily on the context, definitions and structure of the underlying data.

This workshop is designed for organizations that already have data, but find it difficult to extract quick and reliable answers from it.

For example:

  • You have dashboards, but lack flexibility
  • You depend on specialists for each new question
  • AI is already here, but not yet providing reliable output

During this workshop, you will discover what factors affect the quality of AI answers and what techniques are available to make Copilot smarter, more consistent and more reliable.
