Microsoft Fabric is Microsoft’s unified (unified) data & analytics platform. During Microsoft Build 2023, Fabric was announced by Satya Nadella.

Much technology in Fabric already exists within the Azure cloud however it is now merged into 1 unified experience and all the complexity around infrastructure is removed. All data lives within the new OneLake (OneDrive for analytics) making data duplication a thing of the past. In addition, Fabric offers a much simpler pricing model because all the technology needed is available from Fabric.
