Data fabric is an emerging data management architecture trend that allows data systems to work seamlessly together using automation and allows users and systems to access data easier & faster. It basically consists of an intelligent automation layer that looks at all data, performs quality checks, enriches data about this data (which we call metadata<\/a><\/u>) and links it together. <\/p>\n

This linking of all data is done in a so-called ‘knowledge graph’ where all mutual relationships are recorded in a powerful way and new insights & data are created. Then everything comes together in an AI-powered model that further drives the data management process and makes suggestions to e.g. increase data quality or to classify certain data as (privacy) sensitive.
